The 15 minutes presentations are organised within the WJ-S multi-screen environment, transformed for the occasion into a space for reflection and investigation. The online browsing through a selection of emblematic websites, chosen by the speakers, takes place simultaneously on 3 big screens.
The speakers are physically present or participate in the event through a video conference program.

WJ-SPOTS is a series of public conferences where participants (artists, critics, thinkers, inventors, researchers, curators, organisers and producers of cultural events) are invited to look back on 15 years of artistic creation on the internet.

WJ-SPOTS is a series of live conferences with a simultaneous online surf on a selection of URLs on 3 big screens.

WJ-SPOTS in an event that is webcast on the Internet, the online audience can interact with the participants on a live chat.

PRESERVATION, MONSTRATION, ACCESSIBILITY TO THE DISTRIBUTED ERA.

Anne Laforet is a scholar and critic. She received a doctorate in information and communication sciences from the Université d’Avignon, and authored Le Net Art au Musée: Stratégies de Conservation des Oeuvres en Ligne, published in 2011 by Editions Questions Théoriques. Anne writes on the digital art and the electronic cultures for the sites of arte.tv and poptronics.fr and participates in numerous collective projects as such, but also as sound performance artist and Wj (Web jockey).

WJ’S ET WJ-SPOTS.

Anne Roquigny, French media arts curator, has specialised during the last 15 years in the production and curating of hybrid digital projects related to sound, visual arts, networks and the internet. After 3 years (1995-98) of devising and organising the cultural events programs of the Web Bar, an internet café/art gallery in Paris, in 1999 she joined the CICV Pierre Schaeffer, one of the first French new media centres, where she worked as artistic co-ordinator and curator of the international Urban Multimedia Arts festivals, then as co-director of the venue with Pierre Bongiovanni.

From 2002 to 2004, Anne was in charge of the general co-ordination of the preliminary project for a future Digital Arts Center in Paris, dedicated to digital production and to electronic music, at la Gaité Lyrique. Anne is now developing the web performances project WJ-S and co-coordinating in parallel with Peter Sinclair and Jérôme Joy Locus Sonus a research lab specialising in audio art and its relation to space and networked audio systems.
